Nurs’n Blues, founded by Patti Parks, nurse and musician, in 2015 is an eclectic music therapy program. Nurs’n Blues seeks to provide healing, growth and coping skills for those suffering from chemical dependency and duo diagnosis.
Through the guidance of a Board Certified Music Therapist, the program combines blues history and music interventions to meet specific client goals in addressing: self-esteem issues, appropriate emotional expression, improved interactions and healthy interpersonal relationships.
This Nationally Recognized Music Therapy Program has served over 1500 people in our WNY communities since January 2016. Kids Escaping Drugs (Renaissance House) and Horizon Health Services, Sanborn, NY residents and families benefit from the program supported by the Blues Society of Western New York. The Blues Society welcomes donations to this Community Outreach Education Program. Donations are a good way to honor/remember family and friends.
