(Blues Blast Maga zine) and "Songs that sear deep into the soul."  (Living Blues Magazine).   Riffin' The Blue is produced by Tas who\, in addition to his tried-and- true studio stalwarts\, enlists solid help from a few others\, most notabl y Mike Zito (courtesy of Gulf Coast Records) and renowned keyboardist\, Br uce Katz.    Thus far this year Cru\, has completed two tours in support of the new album m\, the first through The US mid-South and most recently \, Europe.\n\nTas Cru is truly a roots-blues eclectic who refuses to let h is music be bound to just one style. Downbeat Magazine notes that he is on e of the most unique root music musicians plying his trade today. With a r epertoire of over 100 original songs from multiple albums and dozens of cr owd-pleasing classics\, this seasoned singer-guitarist-songwriter is truly one of the most unique of roots-blues musicians plying his trade today.  Cru was honored with his first Blues Foundation Blues Music Award nominat ion in 2018  for his album\, Simmered &\; Stewed.  That album and the two that followed (Memphis Song &\; Drive On) were all recipients of t he Syracuse Area Music Awards (the SAMMY’s) for best blues recordings. H is 2021 album\, Broke Down Busted Up was nominated by Blues Blast Magazi ne (Best Acoustic Blues Album) and the Independent Blues Awards (Modern Ro ots Album\, Modern Roots Artist\, and Content Creator Award.)\n\nTas Cru p erforms in multiple formats ranging from solo acoustic to a six-piece back ing band.  He sings and plays a wide variety of guitars  - at home on ei ther electric\, acoustic\, resonator or cigar box and is known to sprinkle in a bit of harmonica from time to time.
