Dear Blues Lovers:

My passion is blues, my fight is breast cancer! Did you know breast cancer kills someone in the world every 68 seconds? As a recent breast cancer survivor and a member of the board, I am asking that you please join the Blues Society of WNY and me, Adrienne Thompson, in the Komen Western New York Race for the Cure which is taking place in Delaware park on Saturday, June 12, 2010, 10 AM.

Komen for the Cure and over 100 Races for the Cure are mobilizing across the country to energize and empower a new generation of women and men, along with their families and friends, to accelerate fundraising in the fight against breast cancer.

AND CHECK IT OUT!!!! Jammin' for a Cure is a Special Edition CD featuring 15 original tunes from local blues bands that have donated their talent in support of the cause. The CD will be available for purchase for just $15 with all proceeds going to breast cancer research. There will be a Jammin' party at Double D's Queen City Grill following the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. (band lineup to be announced)
